But I'm having way too much fun on this website! :D You paste some of your writing (a blog post, article, novel, short story, poem, etc.) and it shows which author matches your writing style!
I put in my last blog post and got Stephen King. (Yippee)!
I put in The Sorceress and got L. Frank Baum. (Nice . . .)
I put in Fantasya: A Giant Problem and got Margaret Mitchell. (WOO HOOOOOO)!
I put in Secrets and got . . . (drum roll please . . .) J.K. ROWLING!!!! (*Does a happy dance*)
Who do you write like? Leave a comment! :D

I am 21-year-old author, actress, daydreamer, voracious reader, introvert, klutz, fangirl, and overuser of tape. I love the impossible (which might explain my obsessions with YA novels) but I dip into the real world . . . occasionally. I’m a big fan of dogs, Broadway musicals, and bittersweet endings. When I'm not hunched over a laptop writing a new story, you can find me onstage in whatever theatrical production I've allowed to take over my life. I am a contributor to the “Fauxpocalypse” anthology and the author of “Instructions for Flight” and “Ghost Light,” both collections of poetry. I Swear I'm Not Dead . . .
. . . I've just been at a writer's camp all week!!!!
I promise I'll post lots about that very soon, but for now, I'll just post two links to blog posts I wrote (one is for "The Write Practice" and the other is for "Positive Writer").:
"How To Stop Procrastinating Before It's Too Late"
"How To Stay Focused On Writing"

My Word Count Buddy
I have a new friend. His name is Ivan Idea. Ivan helps me keep track of my word count and mirrors my emotions. Here's what he looks like now.
I'm doing pretty well right now, so Ivan is typing away at the keyboard. I just barely passed my 50% milestone. But if I'm stuck and not really doing much, he might look like this.
Where did I get my new buddy? On Writertopia. I was looking for some word progress meters when I stumbled upon Ivan. (And, yes, he admits to stealing his name from a character off of an old computer game my brother and I used to play, but it fit so well he wanted to keep it). Ivan is hanging out on the side of my blog right now, if you'd like to check him out.
(What's that? Okay, I'll tell them).
Ivan wants you to adopt his siblings and add them your blog. Some of his brothers and sisters are . . .
Penny Foryour Thoughts
Wright Ersblock
The Count of Words (A.K.A. Bob Smith, but don't tell the Count that I told you that)!
Ms. Cuppa Coffee
Dr. Chock Late (If you really want to make the doc happy, give him some dark chocolate)!
Some of Ivan's siblings are *gasp* unnamed! Do you have any ideas for some possible names? Leave them in a comment! :D

The Story Cartel
For all you writers out there, here is a link for something I found called "The Story Cartel." (Click HERE). I've gotten some samples of "The Story Cartel Course" and it is awesome. It's very detailed about things you can do to make your story better, but it's also to the point. Joe Bunting, the guy who runs "The Write Practice," is the one who does "Story Cartel." I highly recommend you check it out.
Happy writing! :D

Random Writing Stuff
Because I'm in a writing mood, here is a whole bunch of random writing stuff that I think all of my fellow writers out there will enjoy:
"Writer's block is when your imaginary friends won't talk to you." -- (I have no idea who wrote this).
Six Word Stories
5 Key Questions to Ask as You Write Your Novel
Click HERE to read why you should never delete 16 pages of your novel.
Identifying Your Characters' Strengths (complete with a list of possible strengths that I found extremely helpful).
Forget About Length, and Focus on Value (For all you writers out there who get down on themselves for not being able to write more than 20,000 words).
The Write Practice (the best writing website known to man--or woman--kind and why it's one of the first options that drops down on my Google page when I type in "t").
And last, but not least, a writing prompt! Freewrite for just five minutes without editing, post it in a blog post, and tag at least five people to do the same! Here's my work:
The explosion pierced the night like a knife. Cindy's ears started ringing as she ran through the woods, leaving footprints in the dirt. There was no time to wipe them away. The guards would be on her at any moment. She just hoped her little bit of magic would give her enough time to get away.
On and on she ran, sweat trickling down her face and her legs burning. She hadn't pushed herself like this in ages. There had been no need to. Not recently, anyway. How could she have read the signs so wrong? Again and again she felt the pang of guilt in her stomach. She, of all people, should've seen what was coming. Now her mother might never regain her kingdom.
Something pounded the ground not far behind her. The guards were coming. They were on horses. How could she ever outrun them now?
The barking began and she heard yells. Dogs? They had brought hunting dogs? Cindy groaned, but kept on running.
There! Just there! The bushes might offer her some concealment. She dove into the bushes and hurriedly began to smear her skin with dirt and leaves and berries. The dogs might not pick up her scent if she was careful enough.
There they were. The dogs began to sniff the ground and Cindy held her breath.
Dear God, she thought. Just let me live for one more day. That's all I need.
I will now tag Mommy at Sushi and Pizza, Daddy at Sushi and Pizza, Maxim at I Don't Eat My Drumsticks, Cici at Meredith and Callixta, and nevillegirl at Musing's From Neville's Navel. Have fun! :D
And be sure to read Day 13 of my 30-Day Blogging Challenge! :D

Quizzes
Hi Everyone!
I recently discovered this new website called Quizilla. It's a site where you can get an account and make your own quizzes for the world to check out. So far I've made five quizzes and two tests. Have fun! :D
What Color Are You? (I'm yellow).
How Well Do You Know Harry Potter? (A Test) (I've gotten 100% on most of the Harry Potter quizzes I've taken).
Which Winx Club Fairy Are You? (Girls Only!) (Winx Club is a cartoon I watch. I'm Bloom).
What Animal Are You? (Girls Only!) (I know it says girls only, but boys can do it, too. It's just geared towards girls. I'm a puppy).
What is my Birth Date? (A Test) (This one will be pretty easy for most of you).
Fantasya A Giant Problem What Character Are You? (Fantasya is a book I wrote). (I'm Cassandra but I have some Cecilia in me).
What Scout Mood Are You In Right Now? (This one is great to take once a day to figure out what mood you're in each day. So far, I've been in the begging mood and the leave me alone mood).
Please comment your results for each quiz. Thanks! :)

This is a really cool map!
We were learning about the electoral college. We even made a lapbook about it! And we used this really cool website that has a really cool map! We saw what would happen if Barack Obama won all the states or if he won some states and not the others and we did the same thing with John McCain.
