Tissues Are Necessary When You Read These Three Books
I cheated on this one a bit by talking about the whole series instead of one book. I cried during the end of the fifth and sixth books and I cried multiple times during the seventh book. BEST SERIES EVER. If you haven't read them I highly recommend that you do. Though I don't think I even have to say this anymore because if you've read my blog enough you already know what I think about this series.
My mom, brother, and I just recently finished this and we all cried during the end. Throughout the whole book you're thinking this is known to be a sad book? Then at the end BAM! You're caught completely off guard. The ending is very sweet. You can read my review of it HERE.
I'm the only one in my family who has read this book. I was able to read the whole thing over two late nights of reading. It's very good, but you're guaranteed to be in tears by the middle of the book. And if you're a dog lover or you have a dog or both you'll use up your whole box of tissues in minutes.
All of these books are excellent and I recommend that you read them. The sadness only adds to the sweetness of the book. If you've read any of these books, let me know what you think in the comments! :D

I love the impossible (which might explain my obsessions with YA novels) but I dip into the real world . . . occasionally. I’m a big fan of dogs, Broadway musicals, and bittersweet endings. When I'm not hunched over a laptop writing a new story, you can find me onstage in whatever theatrical production I've allowed to take over my life. I saw the movie for A Bridge to Terabithia but I don't remember it being sad? Hm. Maybe worth a read. I cry during Harry Potter through the entire thing. Seriously. I cried most recently when the Sorting Hat was singing in #4. Yikes.
Great post! I've cried so many times during Harry Potter. Anne of Green Gables is another one that makes me cry.
As for Bridge to Terabithia, I don't remember whether or not I read it as a kid, but I knew it was sad and I knew generally what was going to happen. Wowza, you're not kidding. It catches you off guard and you sob. I was having a hard time reading out loud to you guys (as you know)! Between that and Evita, it wasn't exactly an upbeat day. :P But it really is such a sweet story. I'd totally recommend it just the same.
I'll agree with you on Harry Potter. It happens to me a lot. I haven't read the other two but I know finishing Bridge to Terabithia threw all three of you off. Nice post.
There are moments in several of the Harry Potter books, that really touched me. I didn't actually cry because I just kept telling myself: it's only a book, it's fiction. That mantra didn't help at all in book seven. By that time I was so invested in the characters, they were my friends. I bawled like a baby in book 7.
Ahhhhhhhh I have read the 1st book of Hairy Potter and half of the 2nd.
But soon I might read them. The other ones I have never heard of :/ anyway I agree with Hairy potter of what I have read.
Guten tag! I have nominated you for a blogging award, if you want it: https://musingsfromnevillesnavel.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/the-sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggers-award/
Aaaaahhhhh! I'm so excited for you, Thing 1! I'm home and just saw this nomination come in. :)
Thanks for the comments, everyone! :D (Especially you, neville! Thank you so much!) I love all of these books so much.
