I just got my first job today!!! I am a "Soda Pourer" at the Renaissance Faire. :)
I was pretty nervous when I went in for my interview--especially since it was my first time being interviewed for anything like that--but it went really well! My interviewer was super nice and the whole thing lasted maybe five minutes. I pretty much got hired on the spot, filled out a ton of paperwork, and went home. I can't wait to get started!

Exciting News . . .
Labels:
The Magic Violinist,
update
I am 21-year-old author, actress, daydreamer, voracious reader, introvert, klutz, fangirl, and overuser of tape. I love the impossible (which might explain my obsessions with YA novels) but I dip into the real world . . . occasionally. I’m a big fan of dogs, Broadway musicals, and bittersweet endings. When I'm not hunched over a laptop writing a new story, you can find me onstage in whatever theatrical production I've allowed to take over my life. I am a contributor to the “Fauxpocalypse” anthology and the author of “Instructions for Flight” and “Ghost Light,” both collections of poetry. You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram at @KateIFoley.

@Rich Ha ha, I don't think it works that way. XD But when you're 14, you should totally get a job there!
Congratulations! I hear the people at Ren Faire are always fun to hang with and are fun to work with.
@Dara Thanks! That's what I've heard. :)
Congrats Kate. The Renaissance Faire sounds like a fun place to work. I've always wanted to go there
@Roselle You should definitely check it out! :) It's great there. I'd much rather go there than to an amusement park.
Yippee! Do you get a cool costume? On my first day making ice cream at Friendly's, I was given this advice: shower before bed or you will stick to the sheets. I pass that advice on to you.
@seventytwofishes Ha ha, thanks! ;) Yeah, they're going to do costume fittings in June! They provide the super cool Renaissance dress and I provide the footwear.
So cool, congratulations!
@Emily Thank you! :)
