I haven't ever watched any movies that people didn't expect me to like, but I have read a book that even I didn't expect to like. I loved reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. But who would expect that from me? It's romance, sci-fi, and Stephenie Meyer all wrapped up into one book. I read all 600 pages of it in two days after my BFF recommended it to me. The movie is coming out in March and I'm going to go see it with my BFF and neither of us can wait for the sequels to the book. I've watched the trailer for it multiple times. Most reviews I've read about the book say it's 'sci-fi for people who don't like sci-fi.' It's true. Though admittedly I haven't read a lot of sci-fi, from what I have read it's not my favorite genre. I definitely prefer fantasy.

The 30-Day Blogging Challenge: Day 24 A Movie No One Would Expect You To Love
I am 21-year-old author, actress, daydreamer, voracious reader, introvert, klutz, fangirl, and overuser of tape. I love the impossible (which might explain my obsessions with YA novels) but I dip into the real world . . . occasionally. I’m a big fan of dogs, Broadway musicals, and bittersweet endings. When I'm not hunched over a laptop writing a new story, you can find me onstage in whatever theatrical production I've allowed to take over my life. I am a contributor to the “Fauxpocalypse” anthology and the author of “Instructions for Flight” and “Ghost Light,” both collections of poetry. You know this, but I didn't expect to have much interest in Harry Potter. It just didn't sound like my kind of book. WOW, was I sooooooooooooo wrong. I love love LOVE Harry Potter!
That is a good question. I really don't know what would be unexpected at this point. It would probably be stranger if I actually HAD a favorite book or movie!
For me it would be True Grit. I never thought I'd be a big fan of a Western, but I loved everything about that movie, from the cinematography to the spunk of the main character. I loved the movie so much that I bought the DVD. Then I went and bought the book and loved it, too.
