Today I'm grateful for . . . Travel. On Saturday our family took a bus trip to New York to see the Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall for their "Christmas Spectacular!" It was really fun and we also got to get a lot of food: Gyros, Japanese food, Starbucks holiday drinks, and some other stuff. We want to go on a trip to Europe at some point.
Today I'm grateful for . . . Menedy. My well-loved, used-to-be-white-but-is-now-gray, floppy, old, stuffed cat that I have had since I was around two or three. I have no idea how I thought of the name. All I know is that she is my favorite stuffed animal and she goes with me
everywhere I go. (Well, most everywhere). She is sitting right next to me as I type this. I even made her a crocheted scarf a few years ago with the help of one of my mom's friends.

I like traveling, too. I'm grateful we've been able to take you so many places.
ReplyDeleteAnd Menedy? What can we say? She's such a part of the family I forget she's a stuffed animal sometimes.
I like traveling, too! NYC was super fun. I'm so glad we live close to NYC, DC, and Boston. We have so much fun together! I'm also glad that we have a lot of down time for the holidays. I'm beat! :P
ReplyDeleteMenedy. I love Menedy, too! She IS part of the family. I think it's cute how you always run to get her whenever we watch TV together.
Ooh, you live near NYC? Lucky! Although I have friends who think it's awesome that I live so close to Chicago and can go there for all kinds of things.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I have some stuffed animals like Menedy... I have one named Rupert that I am never ever getting rid of because I've had her since she was born and took her everywhere with me... until I was like 12. xD
Thanks for the comments, everyone! :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm glad we aren't traveling for a while. XD As much as I love traveling I'm glad for some time at home.
We've been to NYC a few times, as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts, and a few others. We went on a cross-country road trip once! That was a fun (and long) trip. ;)
Ooh, that does sound fun! A few springs ago my family did a cross-country trip by train but it wasn't that fun actually... :/ The train was delayed by almost a day and most of the time we were just stuck on the tracks and didn't travel at all. Oh, well. It was like going to the Capitol in THG. >:) Actually, we did pass through the Capitol (Denver).
ReplyDeleteI love to travel too! Sadly, my husband doesn't so it probably won't happen for us very often, although I did get to go to Paris last year (without him!). Score.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. :P I bet it would be a lot more fun (but slower) to do a cross-country trip by car, because then you can get out and see all the sights. :D
ReplyDeleteParis sounds awesome! :D I can't wait to go to Europe at some point,
