Love watching 80s movies with you, by the way. I still think it is, to some extent, but it's really good. :) Sometimes rereads help everything to sink in more.

IT WAS SO PERFECT AND PRETTY!!! I was really excited as soon as I heard about it, because I knew they were going to do something mellow and haunting. :)

Ooh, that does help, thanks! :)

@Karoline You'll have to let me know what you think about it!

I'm planning on reading all the stories from the BBC "Sherlock," so SoF is definitely on my list! :)

(Thanks! I'll check it out.)The Magic Violinisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08889060820055920735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-739533234250181729.post-29259610535098649722014-12-02T11:19:36.850-05:002014-12-02T11:19:36.850-05:00I tagged you in my "Describe Your Face-Challe...I tagged you in my "Describe Your Face-Challenge!" check out the post here: http://asateenwriter.blogspot.com/Karolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06850526636527751416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-739533234250181729.post-24610519771278709382014-11-30T22:06:41.177-05:002014-11-30T22:06:41.177-05:00I love this post! It made me excited to go see Mockingjay soon :) And I'm over the moon that you're reading Sherlock Holmes :D I've read them all and I think my favorite is "The Sign of the Four" :)Karolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06850526636527751416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-739533234250181729.post-90356219018128434222014-11-30T17:53:13.178-05:002014-11-30T17:53:13.178-05:00I'm glad to see that you like Mockingjay bette...I'm glad to see that you like Mockingjay better now! It's not worse than the others, just really different - I've been saying that for a while now, and I think more people are beginning to understand that after seeing the new movie?

I agree about Jennifer Lawrence's voice! I mean, no, she'll never be a pop star, but... that wasn't needed in THG, anyway. Her voice was realistic for Katniss, and very pretty in a mellow way.

I think I've said this before, but "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" and "A Scandal in Bohemia" are nothing short of brilliant. (...and horrendously underserved by the BBC show. One is barely even mentioned, and the other is just... ruined. So. I highly recommend the originals.)

Other than that, I also enjoyed:
-"The Adventure of the Six Napoleons"
"The Adventure of the Red-Headed League"
-"The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle"

Here, this might help: http://www.bestofsherlock.com/story/storyhm.htm
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
