A Sense-ational Blog Tag

I'm sorry, I had to make that pun.

I was tagged by Engie at "Musings From Neville's Navel" for the Five Senses Tag. For each sense, I write down five things I love (five things I love to see, hear smell, etc.).

Here we go:

Sight

1. The color yellow
2. Falling snow/the untouched blanket of snow in a yard that makes you want to run through it and leave footprints
3. Fall leaves
4. Adorable animals
5. A full, colorful bookshelf

Smell

1. Campfire/smoke
2. Baking cookies
3. My Sherlock candle
4. The pages of books (especially old, mass market paperback ones)
5. Coffee

Now I'm hungry . . .
Taste

1. Sushi
2. Peanut butter cups
3. S'mores
4. Anything with cheese
5. Portuguese shrimp turnovers

Sound

1. Theme songs from my favorite TV shows
2. A group of violins all playing different parts of the same song so it harmonizes and just sounds all around amazing
3. Laughter
4. Frantic typing because someone's just been hit with inspiration
5. Thunderstorms

Touch

1. My dog's fur after she's just had a bath
2. Fuzzy socks
3. Someone when you're hugging them
4. Flour
5. Stuffed animals

Tag, you're it! Do the tag in the comments or steal it for your own blog. :)

I never seen this tag before but I really like. I don't think too much about some of the senses, like touch and whatnot so that'd be interesting. I've been trying to include those sorts of things into my writing too, so it might help a bit with that :)

I hadn't either until I was tagged. It's really fun to come up with the lists! :) I didn't even think about how it could help getting the senses into my writing, as well.

Aww, this is such a nice tag! :') I really love the smell of campfires, or like just general woodfires. It's sooo nice and reminds me of marshmallows and the fact that I want to eat some. (Why does everything with me come back to food though?? So weird. ahem. Moving forward.)
Also cheese makes everything delicious. KNOWN FACT. (Omg still here with the food...)
And violins are definitely an amazing sound!! I'm a sucker for any movie soundtracks that feature violins (or cellos!) because it's just so beautiful. :')

It's a nice change from the usual bookish tags I do!

Mmm, I'm right there with you. S'mores are one of my favorite desserts.

Absolutely. (Seriously, you could make a connection to food with anything. You might want to get that checked out. It's worrisome.)

Right?! And they sound good with all kinds of genres. I love listening to covers of pop songs someone's done on a string instrument. Cellos are great, too!

Cait, and soundtracks with strings in movies about food?!? :)

I love everything about this post. I use my 5 senses when I'm practicing mindfulness. What do I see? What do I smell? Etc. Thanks for sharing this.

That's a really good way to slow things down. I use that with my writing, too, since descriptions are always nice for a mellower scene in a book.
