Three Random Writing Thoughts

I much prefer it when agents reject my novel with "I wasn't the right agent for this project" rather than "your project was not right for me." It's gentler.

I love this quote:

If someone asked me who my all-time favorite character that I've created was, I would reply, "All of them." Trying to single one out is like trying to choose who you like more: your mom or your dad?

Your mom. The correct answer is "your mom." Just kidding. :)

She's right. "Your mom" is the better answer. ;)

I agree with the feeling that all of your characters are your favorites. My favorite characters are the ones that I'm working on at any given moment. But if I had to chose I would say that my favorite characters that I created are Sean, the New York City firefighter who survived 9-11, and Sam, the Army doctor who barely survived Iraq.

That quote is absolutely fabulous. I love it! :)

I actually have favorite charries. It's hard to choose but I really love Cooper and his Mom. :)

I actually have some favorite characters, and a few characters who have really bugged me. And then characters who I enjoyed writing, but if I knew them in real life, I probably wouldn't like them. :-P

@Boquinha and Dr. Mark Ha! Still not picking one. ;)

@Roselle Yeah, sometimes I have temporary favorites, but that's usually because they're the ones I'm writing at the moment, so they're the most exciting at that moment.
